It’s that time of year again guys and dolls! September 15th is my birthday and this year i’m hoping to give more than I get and I can really only accomplish this with YOUR help!

Just like last year I’ve teamed up with Phi Nguyen (of the Jabbawockeez), who also happens to share the same birth date as me, to raise money for a handful of charities that are near and dear to us. Taya returns to Asia to film yet another commercial in Thailand and shoot several magazines across the region to be released later in the year.

Of all the commercials i have done in the past 13 or so years, this one definitely makes it into my top 3 favorites. I loved the concept of me being one and the same as the camera, I loved the gorgeous red dress they put me in, the cinematography, the make up, everything! And although it was exhausting shooting nonstop from 12pm to 6am the next day, i would do it all over again because it was just that much fun (:

This commercial was SO much fun to shoot. Not only did i get to play around with the script and the movements but there were all sorts of tricks involved- fake pieces of latex skin to appear as if i had a rash or stretch marks, a rotating platform for me to spin on as the camera rotated the opposite direction, and a full torso latex top for the little part where i shed my own skin! The director of this video is one of my favorite commercial directors in Thailand, if you’ve ever seen the LUX body wash commercial i did, he also directed that one. Needless to say, i’m really proud of and happy with the outcome of this commercial (:

While living in Singapore working for MTV Asia, one of my favorite shows to shoot was SWAG where we’d give away everything from concert tickets for awesome shows to rad gifts like Billabong surfboards (: i mean let’s face it, who doesn’t like getting free stuff? And i have to admit, i do love giving people gifts!
